Australia (X kg) was the main destination for hedge shear exports from Israel, accounting for a 49% share of total exports. Moreover, hedge shear exports to Australia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ecuador (X kg), fivefold. Peru (X kg) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 9.7% share.

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 64% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, hedge shear imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +76.9% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 54% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
