Leather Market Size in Israel

The Israeli leather market shrank modestly to $X in 2021, dropping by -2.1% against the previous year. In general, consumption continues to indicate a pronounced decrease. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Palestine (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the main destinations of leather exports from Israel, with a combined 9.7% share of total exports. These countries were followed by India, Australia, China and Turkey, which together accounted for a further 1.2%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Australia (with a CAGR of +56.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the United States ($X), Palestine ($X) and Australia ($X) constituted the largest markets for leather exported from Israel worldwide, with a combined 20% share of total exports.
