The average oxygen export price stood at $X per cubic meter in 2022, jumping by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per cubic meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($X per cubic meter) and Italy ($X per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per cubic meter) and the UK ($X per cubic meter) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+27.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Israel
In 2022, overseas purchases of oxygen were finally on the rise to reach X cubic meters for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, saw a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 230% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X cubic meters. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, oxygen imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 244% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the United States (X cubic meters) constituted the largest oxygen supplier to Israel, accounting for a 58% share of total imports. Moreover, oxygen imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Switzerland (X cubic meters), fourfold. Italy (X cubic meters) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States totaled -4.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Switzerland (+17.3% per year) and Italy (+18.4% per year).
