Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main destinations of potato exports from Israel, with a combined 64% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +25.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Israel
In 2021, approx. X tons of potatoes were imported into Israel; reducing by -9.7% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed temperate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 61%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, potato imports contracted to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% over the last nine years. In 2021, the Netherlands (X tons) constituted the largest potato supplier to Israel, with a 71% share of total imports. The UK (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from the Netherlands stood at +4.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (-21.5% per year) and the UK (+56.9% per year).
