From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Turkey amounted to +72.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Palestine (-14.5% per year) and the United States (-0.9% per year).

The average wrapping papers export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 27%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Israel
In 2021, supplies from abroad of wrapping paper, packaging paper and paperboard increased by 2.4% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 22%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, wrapping papers imports amounted to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 12%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
Sweden (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Finland (X tons) were the main suppliers of wrapping papers imports to Israel, together comprising 28% of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese), the United States, the UK, Italy, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 48%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +36.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Sweden ($X), Finland ($X) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($X) appeared to be the largest wrapping papers suppliers to Israel, with a combined 31% share of total imports.
