Imports into Italy
In 2022, imports of monoammonium phosphate (MAP) into Italy declined notably to X tons, dropping by -32.4% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted moderate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 67% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
In value terms, monoammonium phosphate imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 99% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Morocco (X tons), Russia (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of monoammonium phosphate imports to Italy, together comprising 80% of total imports.
