In value terms, fire extinguisher imports expanded notably to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 48%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest fire extinguisher supplier to Italy, accounting for a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, fire extinguisher imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), more than tenfold.
