In value terms, non-electrical lamp imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a mild decline. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest non-electrical lamp supplier to Italy, with a 81% share of total imports. Moreover, non-electrical lamp imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X units), more than tenfold. Germany (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 3.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +14.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+9.0% per year) and Germany (-5.9% per year).
