From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tons), the UK (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-medical x-ray imports to Italy, with a combined 73% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain, China, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Taiwan (Chinese) and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further 19%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +95.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest non-medical x-ray suppliers to Italy were Germany ($X), the United States ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 67% share of total imports. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 91%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the price for Spain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
