The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Poland (X tons), Slovenia (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the main destinations of polyacetals exports from Italy, with a combined 39% share of total exports. Brazil, Germany, Tunisia, Spain, Malaysia, China, Switzerland, France, Turkey and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, polyacetals imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Germany (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main suppliers of polyacetals imports to Italy, with a combined 78% share of total imports. Thailand, Poland and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.
