From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X units), France (X units) and Portugal (X units) were the main destinations of wood slicing machine exports from Italy, with a combined 50% share of total exports. Spain, Belgium, the UK, Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Austria, Croatia, Greece and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 33%.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 303% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
