Germany (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of glass fiber exports from Italy, together accounting for 40% of total exports. These countries were followed by the UK, Croatia, Spain, the United States, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Turkey, which together accounted for a further 37%.

In 2021, the average glass fiber export price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Slovenia (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of glass fiber imports to Italy, together comprising 48% of total imports. France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Egypt, Finland, the UK, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.
