In value terms, preservative-treated rough wood imports shrank to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, posted a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 94%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

Germany (X cubic meters), France (X cubic meters) and Poland (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of preservative-treated rough wood imports to Italy, with a combined 43% share of total imports.
