From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kiribati (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Japan
In 2021, imports of bridges, bridge sections, towers and lattice masts (of iron or steel) into Japan soared to X tons, rising by 256% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports showed a significant expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, bridge imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 248%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

South Korea (X tons), China (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of bridge imports to Japan, together accounting for 100% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +35.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, South Korea ($X), China ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest bridge suppliers to Japan, with a combined 99% share of total imports.
