In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in the Japanese date market, when its value decreased by -0.3% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption enjoyed buoyant growth. In value terms, date imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 239% against the previous year.
