The third position in this ranking was held by Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), with a 17% share.

These countries were followed by Singapore, Hungary and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further 17%.
Hungary, with a CAGR of +121.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third year in a row, Japan recorded growth in purchases abroad of liquid or compressed air and distilled or conductivity water, which increased by 19% to X tons in 2021. Overall, imports showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 238% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, liquid air and distilled water imports expanded rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 307% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest liquid air and distilled water supplier to Japan, accounting for a 37% share of total imports. Moreover, liquid air and distilled water imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Canada (X tons), twofold.
