Among the main countries of destination, Mexico, with a CAGR of +78.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Japan
In 2022, supplies from abroad of organic derivatives of hydrazine or of hydroxylamine decreased by -23.5% to X tons, falling for the third year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 33%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives imports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 10%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), Switzerland (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main suppliers of hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives imports to Japan, with a combined 81% share of total imports. India, the United States, Norway and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Norway (with a CAGR of +24.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
