From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to China amounted to +6.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.7% per year) and South Korea (-5.2% per year).

The average phenolic resins export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, falling by -1.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a slight downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 7%. The third position in this ranking was held by Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +2.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Korea (+2.2% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.7% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of phenolic resins in primary forms to Japan, comprising 43% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Korea ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 15% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to -1.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Korea (+1.0% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.2% per year).

In 2021, the average phenolic resins import price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a mild descent.
