The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of roasted coffee substitutes imports to Japan, with a combined 87% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +24.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the largest roasted coffee substitutes suppliers to Japan were South Korea ($X), Poland ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 91% share of total imports.
