From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to China stood at -6.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+111.5% per year) and Mexico (+54.5% per year).

The average fuse and detonator export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, reducing by -10.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. In 2021, the amount of safety fuses, detonating fuses and electric detonators imported into Japan shrank to X tons, dropping by -6% on 2020 figures. In general, imports recorded a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, fuse and detonator imports expanded sharply to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
