The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +94.3% against 2012 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 11%. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

South Korea (X tons), China (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main destinations of secateurs exports from Japan, with a combined 52% share of total exports. The Netherlands, the UK, Italy, Vietnam, Taiwan (Chinese), Russia, Germany, Thailand, Peru and Switzerland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Russia (with a CAGR of +46.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
