Smart card imports into Jordan surged to X units in 2022, rising by 111% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 240%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, smart card imports declined dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a slight decrease. In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest smart card supplier to Jordan, with a 28% share of total imports.
