Iraq (X tons) was the main destination for cheese and curd exports from Jordan, accounting for a 39% share of total exports. Imports into Jordan

In 2022, cheese and curd imports into Jordan reduced rapidly to X tons, which is down by -24.2% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports saw a slight contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 10%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cheese and curd imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Saudi Arabia (X tons), Egypt (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of cheese and curd imports to Jordan, together accounting for 51% of total imports. Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Denmark, New Zealand, Germany, Bahrain, Cyprus, the United States and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.
