China (X tons) was the main destination for oxides of boron exports from Jordan, accounting for a 71% share of total exports. Moreover, oxides of boron exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, India (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by South Korea (X tons), with a 3.8% share.

In 2022, the amount of oxides of boron, boric acids and inorganic acids imported into Jordan declined to X tons, falling by -13.2% on 2021. In general, imports, however, posted a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 188%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, oxides of boron imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 198%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of oxides of boron to Jordan, accounting for a 89% share of total imports. Moreover, oxides of boron imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), ninefold.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Turkey stood at +9.3%.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) constituted the largest supplier of oxides of boron, boric acids and inorganic acids to Jordan, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by China ($X), with a 21% share of total imports.
