As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Kuwait (X tons), Qatar (X tons) and Zambia (X tons) were the main destinations of turkey meat exports from Jordan, together accounting for 76% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Qatar (with a CAGR of +21.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 150% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bahrain ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Zambia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Free Zones (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

For the seventh consecutive year, Jordan recorded decline in purchases abroad of turkey meat, which decreased by -57.3% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 30%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, turkey meat imports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a abrupt decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 43%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest turkey meat supplier to Jordan, accounting for a 63% share of total imports. Moreover, turkey meat imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X tons), threefold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.
