Imports into Jordan
Wheat and meslin flour imports into Jordan dropped sharply to X tons in 2022, declining by -32% against the year before. Overall, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last decade. In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constituted the largest supplier of wheat and meslin flour to Jordan, comprising 55% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Oman ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey, with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the United Arab Emirates stood at +8.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Oman (+21.4% per year) and Turkey (-5.9% per year).
Import Prices by Country
