The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-wheat cereal pellets exports shrank markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, exports recorded a precipitous contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by 198%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Tajikistan (X kg) and Kyrgyzstan (X kg) were the main destinations of non-wheat cereal pellets exports from Kazakhstan.

Imports into Kazakhstan

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of cereal pellets (excluding wheat) decreased by -17.1% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 1,116%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-wheat cereal pellets imports fell notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports faced a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 704%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) was the main non-wheat cereal pellets supplier to Kazakhstan, accounting for a 93% share of total imports. Moreover, non-wheat cereal pellets imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), more than tenfold.
