From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia totaled -9.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+25.5% per year) and Ukraine (-7.4% per year).

In 2021, the average capacitor export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 32% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, the amount of electrical capacitors imported into Kazakhstan fell notably to X tons, with a decrease of -23.4% against the previous year. Overall, imports, however, posted strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 181% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

In value terms, capacitor imports fell to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 201%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons), Russia (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main suppliers of capacitor imports to Kazakhstan, together comprising 66% of total imports. These countries were followed by India, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia and Germany, which together accounted for a further 20%.
