The exports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, frozen poultry liver exports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +67.6% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 45%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Russia (X tons), Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the main destinations of frozen poultry liver exports from Kazakhstan, with a combined 96% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +120.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for frozen poultry liver exported from Kazakhstan were Russia ($X), Kyrgyzstan ($X) and Belarus ($X), with a combined 97% share of total exports. Uzbekistan lagged somewhat behind, accounting for a further 1.8%.

In 2022, the average frozen poultry liver export price amounted to $X per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 8.1%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of frozen poultry livers and offal decreased by -10% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -15.6% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 79% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, frozen poultry liver imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +16.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the United States (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of frozen poultry liver to Kazakhstan, with a 56% share of total imports. Moreover, frozen poultry liver imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Ukraine (X tons), with an 8.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States totaled -2.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+36.8% per year) and Ukraine (+4.7% per year).
In value terms, the largest frozen poultry liver suppliers to Kazakhstan were the United States ($X), Russia ($X) and Ukraine ($X), together comprising 91% of total imports.
Russia, with a CAGR of +31.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
