Russia (X units) was the main destination for fuel or lubricating pump exports from Kazakhstan, accounting for a 52% share of total exports. Moreover, fuel or lubricating pump exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X units), fivefold. Kyrgyzstan (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 9.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia amounted to -9.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+4.4% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+81.6% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for fuel, lubricating or cooling-medium pumps for internal combustion engines exports from Kazakhstan, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Netherlands ($X), with a 10% share of total exports. It was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with a 4.5% share.

Imports into Kazakhstan

In general, imports saw pronounced growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 72% against the previous year. The third position in this ranking was held by Belarus (X units), with a 2.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +5.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+2.9% per year) and Belarus (+1.4% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), Russia ($X) and the United States ($X) were the largest fuel or lubricating pump suppliers to Kazakhstan, together comprising 76% of total imports. These countries were followed by Austria, Germany, Belarus and Spain, which together accounted for a further 10%.
Among the main suppliers, Austria, with a CAGR of +27.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average fuel or lubricating pump import price amounted to $X per unit, remaining stable against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 86%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
