Groundnuts Market Size in Kazakhstan

For the third year in a row, the Kazakh groundnuts market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 132% to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a noticeable curtailment. Groundnuts consumption peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The average yield of ground-nut (in-shell) in Kazakhstan rose slightly to X kg per ha in 2022, increasing by 3.1% on 2021 figures. In general, the yield, however, continues to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 165% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, groundnuts exports dropped notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 328% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.
