The Kazakh lamp holder market shrank to $X in 2022, which is down by -14.9% against the previous year. Overall, consumption continues to indicate a noticeable descent. Overall, exports, however, saw resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 105%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

In value terms, lamp holder exports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 285% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell significantly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Russia (X tons), Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Armenia (X tons) were the main destinations of lamp holder exports from Kazakhstan, together comprising 0.2% of total exports. Singapore, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 0.1%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Singapore (with a CAGR of +123.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Singapore ($X), Russia ($X) and Kyrgyzstan ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for lamp holder exported from Kazakhstan worldwide, together comprising 13% of total exports.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. Imports into Kazakhstan

In 2022, the amount of lamp holders, plugs and sockets imported into Kazakhstan contracted dramatically to X tons, which is down by -34% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, posted a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 69% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, lamp holder imports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -17.3% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of lamp holder to Kazakhstan, with a 0.6% share of total imports. Moreover, lamp holder imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X tons), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Turkey (X tons), with a 0.1% share.

In 2021, the average lamp holder import price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 35% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced curtailment. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
