Luggage Market Size in Kazakhstan

In 2021, the Kazakh luggage market increased by 8.8% to $X, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption enjoyed resilient growth. Luggage consumption peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Exports from Kazakhstan

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for luggage exports from Kazakhstan, accounting for a 77% share of total exports. Moreover, luggage exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X tons), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan (X kg), with a 2.7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia totaled -10.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+71.6% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (-10.6% per year).

In value terms, France ($X), Russia ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for luggage exported from Kazakhstan worldwide, with a combined 66% share of total exports.
