The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 77%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Kyrgyzstan (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of meat, fish or cheese pasta imports to Kazakhstan, together comprising 83% of total imports. Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.
