Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 314% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, aircraft propeller exports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a noticeable descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 755%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Afghanistan (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main destinations of aircraft propeller exports from Kazakhstan, together comprising 85% of total exports. The UK, the United States and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the UK (with a CAGR of +108.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Somalia (+54.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Kazakhstan
Aircraft propeller imports into Kazakhstan expanded significantly to X tons in 2022, increasing by 6.4% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports, however, recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 214%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, aircraft propeller imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 396%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the United Arab Emirates (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of aircraft propeller to Kazakhstan, accounting for a 43% share of total imports. Moreover, aircraft propeller imports from the United Arab Emirates exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X kg), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by the UK (X kg), with a 17% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from the United Arab Emirates totaled +30.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-14.2% per year) and the UK (+2.9% per year).

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the UK stood at +13.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-25.9% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+21.6% per year).

In 2022, the average aircraft propeller import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 9.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 113%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
