From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per kg), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands totaled $X per kg.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mongolia (+7.6%).
Vaccine Imports
Imports into Kazakhstan
In 2022, supplies from abroad of vaccines for human medicine decreased by -5.9% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 45%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, vaccine imports reduced slightly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 36%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X tons), France (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of vaccine imports to Kazakhstan, together comprising 46% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +224.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X), China ($X) and Belgium ($X) were the largest vaccine suppliers to Kazakhstan, with a combined 51% share of total imports.
Among the main suppliers, China, with a CAGR of +279.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last decade. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the price for South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
