Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Zambia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Guatemala (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Kenya
Ceramic household article imports into Kenya skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, picking up by 27% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 110% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ceramic household article imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 163%.
