In 2022, the Kenyan fiberboard market was finally on the rise to reach $X after three years of decline. In general, consumption posted a buoyant expansion. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($X per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

After three years of decline, supplies from abroad of fiber board of wood or other ligneous materials increased by 10% to X cubic meters in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 68%. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, fiberboard imports amounted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a prominent increase.
