In 2022, approx. X units of industrial bakery machinery were exported from Kenya; waning by -15.4% on the previous year's figure. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed strong growth. Imports into Kenya

After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of industrial bakery machinery increased by 33% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 118% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, industrial bakery machinery imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 235%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Uganda (X units), Italy (X units) and South Africa (X units) were the main suppliers of industrial bakery machinery imports to Kenya, with a combined 28% share of total imports. The Netherlands, Slovenia, China, Germany and India lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +47.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
