In value terms, imports of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) rose markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a moderate increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 77%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of internal combustion engine (excl. diesel, moto vehicle and aircraft) to Kenya, with a 36% share of total imports.
