The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The Netherlands (X tons) was the main destination for exports of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) from Kenya, accounting for a 254% share of total exports. In value terms, imports of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) rose markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a moderate increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 77%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
