In 2021, public works machinery imports into Kenya fell remarkably to X units, reducing by -40.5% compared with 2020. In general, imports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 434% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, public works machinery imports shrank to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a drastic downturn.
