Uganda (X cubic meters), Tanzania (X cubic meters) and Rwanda (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of nitrogen exports from Kenya, together accounting for 92% of total exports. These countries were followed by Burundi, which accounted for a further 4.6%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Burundi (with a CAGR of +37.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
