In 2022, exports of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens from Kenya reduced rapidly to X units, with a decrease of -37.4% on the previous year's figure. In general, exports, however, showed resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 616%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace exports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 782% against the previous year. In 2022, approx. X units of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens were imported into Kenya; dropping by -29.5% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports, however, saw temperate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 370% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a perceptible increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 505% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
