Office Supply Market Size in Kenya

The Kenyan office supply market shrank dramatically to $X in 2022, waning by -17.1% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 148% against the previous year. In value terms, office supply exports declined significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. Imports into Kenya

Office supply imports into Kenya contracted to X tons in 2022, which is down by -11.6% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports saw a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 49% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, office supply imports contracted remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 112%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X tons) was the main supplier of office supply to Kenya, accounting for a 92% share of total imports. It was followed by the UK (X tons), with a 2.5% share of total imports. India (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.5% share.
