Rwanda, with a CAGR of +90.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Kenya
In 2021, the amount of oxides of boron and boric acids imported into Kenya surged to X tons, rising by 34% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 365%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, boron oxide and boric acid imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a strong increase. Turkey (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Argentina (X tons) were the main suppliers of boron oxide and boric acid imports to Kenya, with a combined 81% share of total imports. These countries were followed by India, South Africa and China, which together accounted for a further 19%.
