Djibouti, with a CAGR of +49.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, aircraft tyre imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted a temperate expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 114% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
The UK (X units), South Africa (X units) and Rwanda (X units) were the main suppliers of aircraft tyre imports to Kenya, together comprising 60% of total imports. These countries were followed by Japan, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, India and Belgium, which together accounted for a further 27%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Japan (with a CAGR of +28.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while the price for Rwanda ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
