In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of transporter cranes, gantry cranes and bridge cranes, when their volume increased by 342% to X units. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 391%. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, transporter and bridge cranes imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a significant expansion. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
