Antisera Market Size in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti antisera market surged to $X in 2021, increasing by 66% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Exports from Kuwait

After four years of growth, shipments abroad of antisera and other blood fractions decreased by -99% to X kg in 2021. Overall, exports continue to indicate a precipitous decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 356%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, antisera exports declined significantly to $X in 2021. In general, exports recorded a precipitous decline. The average antisera export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, falling by -15.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 90%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, approx. X tons of antisera and other blood fractions were imported into Kuwait; jumping by 65% against the year before. Overall, imports enjoyed a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 143%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The average antisera import price stood at $X per kg in 2021, dropping by -6.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, enjoyed a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 123% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per kg. From 2020 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
