Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances contracted to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, posted prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 119%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Qatar (X tons), Lebanon (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances from Kuwait, together accounting for 89% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Qatar (with a CAGR of +116.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Qatar ($X) remains the key foreign market for domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances exports from Kuwait, comprising 65% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Lebanon ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 7.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Qatar stood at +146.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lebanon (+56.5% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+71.8% per year).

In 2021, the average export price for domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances amounted to $X per ton, surging by 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a slight decrease. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Bahrain ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Lebanon ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances into Kuwait amounted to X tons in 2021, standing approx. at the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Italy (with a CAGR of +97.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Italy ($X) constituted the largest supplier of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances to Kuwait, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with a 17% share.

In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 9.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (-4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
