Ecg Market Size in Kuwait

Imports into Kuwait

ECG imports into Kuwait fell sharply to X units in 2021, with a decrease of -84.7% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports showed a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 213%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, ECG imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a abrupt slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 136%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then fell sharply in the following year.

India (X units), Germany (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main suppliers of ECG imports to Kuwait, together accounting for 42% of total imports. Spain, China, Hong Kong SAR, Mexico, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Costa Rica lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 43%.

The average ECG import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 8.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 32%. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for Vietnam ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
